Gamesnite Privacy Policy

Effective date: January 27, 2026

Gamesnite (the “App”) is operated by PlainQode (“we”, “us”, or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

If you have questions, contact us at gamesnitesupport@plainqode.com.

Quick Summary

  • No account required: The current version of Gamesnite does not require you to create an account, although this will be optional for future versions.
  • Local-first: Your scorecards and other gameplay data are stored on your device.
  • Analytics & crash reporting: We use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to understand app usage and fix bugs.
  • Ads: The free version may show ads via Google Mobile Ads (AdMob). Ad technology may use device identifiers and related signals to serve ads and measure performance.
  • Support email: If you email us from inside the app, the email may include basic device/app details to help troubleshooting efforts.

Information We Collect

1. Information you provide

  • Support messages: If you choose to contact support (for example, via the in-app support action), we receive the information you include in your email.

2. Information collected automatically

a. Analytics (Firebase Analytics)

We collect app usage information such as:

  • App interactions (e.g., screens viewed and basic usage patterns)
  • Device and app information (e.g., OS version, device type, app version)
  • Approximate location/region inferred from IP address (processed by our analytics provider)

We use this data to understand which features are used and to improve the App.

b. Crash reporting (Firebase Crashlytics)

When the App crashes (or encounters certain errors), Crashlytics may collect:

  • Crash logs and stack traces
  • Device and app information (e.g., device model, OS version, app version)
  • Approximate timestamps and diagnostic context related to the crash

We use this data to diagnose and fix stability issues.

c. Advertising (Google Mobile Ads / AdMob)

If you are using the ad-supported version of the App, Google Mobile Ads may collect or process:

  • Advertising identifiers (such as the Android Advertising ID, or iOS identifiers when permitted)
  • Device information (e.g., device type, OS version)
  • Approximate location (inferred from IP address)
  • Ad performance data (e.g., impressions, clicks)

This information is used to show ads, limit fraud, and measure ad effectiveness.

d. Remote configuration (Firebase Remote Config)

We use Remote Config to control certain app settings (for example, default timer values, ad frequency, and support contact configuration). Remote Config may process basic device/app information to deliver configuration values.

3. Information stored locally on your device

Gamesnite is designed to be local-first. The following may be stored on your device:

  • Scorecards, players, and game-related settings
  • App preferences (e.g., settings toggles)
  • Premium entitlement state (locally cached)

This local data is not uploaded to a Gamesnite-owned server in the current version.

How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide and operate the App
  • Improve performance, usability, and reliability
  • Diagnose crashes and fix bugs
  • Show ads (free version) and measure ad performance
  • Respond to support requests

How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share information with service providers that help us operate the App:

  • Google Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics, Remote Config)
  • Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) (ads and measurement)

These providers may process information on our behalf according to their terms and privacy policies.

Relevant policies:

We take reasonable steps to protect information, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
